2008 Events

A Phase I Task Force community pet care event -- the centerpiece of which is a large volume, no-cost demonstration spay/neuter assistance clinic -- is set up in an existing building within the community. The Task Force brings in a brightly-colored small van, most of the equipment and supplies needed for spay/neuter surgery. The Task Force covers all surgery costs and recruits veterinarians and veterinary technicians. The host involves the whole community as volunteers to help in the clinic, and as donors to feed, house and support the clinic workers and out-of-towners.

Phase II Task Force community pet care events follow the same model. These events are typically smaller, more regularly scheduled, and the community - usually with municipality funds -- covers the cost of surgery. The Task Force lends equipment.
