We recently returned from a wonderful event in Miles City. "Operation SNIP" took place September 10th through the 12th, 2004. The clinic was held in the vacant Marine and Bike Showroom building. Local veterinarian Dr. Jean Lindley participated all three days, and her staff and radio station KATL helped to plan the event. Many local volunteers helped to make this event a success. Final count: 726 animals fixed!

Dr. Jean Lindley works on a cat and answers the questions of curious volunteers.

Local volunteers and vet techs prepare the cats for surgery.
After surgery, cats were given one-on-one attention in the recovery section.
Cats in line, await their turn!

The big picture - dogs were on one side of the building, while the cat section was against the far wall.

See how many local children volunteered!

At check-in, the dogs were weighed.
Owners and volunteers visit with the dogs-in-waiting.
Vet techs prepare the dogs for surgery.
Dr. Kristin Hollemans hard at work.
Dr. Lindley helped in the dog section, too!
Dogs are comforted in the recovery section by their owners and by volunteers.
This groggy dog is also getting groomed!
This family had both dogs and cats fixed.
How cute is this?
Local volunteer Valerie helps clean the trache tubes.
Sue and Sydney clean the surgical instruments in the autoclave section.
Kids love to help in the recovery sections.
Al from KATL radio, and Dr. Jean Lindley take a little break.
At the end of the event, the SPOT van (Stop Pet Overpopulation Today!) is packed up. Now the Montana Spay Neuter Task Force must get ready for its next event - in Helena!

"Oh Boy! We're getting tutored today!"
